Mediation

I don't get on with my ex, will mediation still work for us?

It is not unusual for partners who separate to argue or mistrust each other’s motives and behaviour, and at times it can feel as though nothing will bring an end to the battling and arguing. But family breakdown is after all a very intensely personal event and it is hardly surprising that feelings run high.

There is a lot said about the effectiveness of mediation and high conflict, especially by other services that are not specialists in this field. As a specialist service with 40 years experience we know absolutely confidently that Mediators can and do work together with ex-partners to help them settle their disputes, no matter how angry people might be. Being in a state of high conflict is not a barrier to using mediation, provided you are prepared to work with your mediator to achieve your goals of ending the conflict and moving forward.
