Mediation Training for Organisations
For many professionals working with interpersonal relationships and families, managing disagreements and conflict to affect change can be a daunting prospect. Somehow the skills and training already obtained, whilst invaluable in other settings, don’t get practitioners the result they want to see.
Mediation skills could be just what they are looking for and are a valuable addition to any practitioner’s toolbox.
NFM is the longest-established provider of family mediation training in England and Wales and we pride ourselves on the quality of the training we provide.
Because we are experts we are frequently asked to run bespoke courses for organisations who would like to increase their understanding of mediation and its role in conflict resolution.
Our bespoke courses are suitable for anyone interested in learning how to use the fundamentals of mediation in their practice and would benefit a wide range of professions including: professionals working with families, family support workers, GPs, social workers, health visitors, solicitors, CAFCASS, teachers, as well as anyone with a general interest in how disputes can be resolved most effectively.
We have a number of courses to suit the needs of all sizes of teams and organisations and courses range from a one day “Mediation for the non-Mediator” to two, three, four or five-day training events providing skills training in mediation.
As an example, we recently ran a 2-day basic mediation skills training for a local authority, where they were able to learn :-
- How to use some basic mediation skills in everyday work with their clients.
- Assess the suitability of cases for mediation
- Help clients make use of mediation prior to conference.
Whatever your needs we can work with you to develop a course that fits them.
