CPD Webinar : Getting to Yes – Revisited – CPDGY225

Reconnect the work of Fisher and Ury (Getting to Yes) with Family Mediation

When it was published, Roger Fisher and William Ury’s book – Getting to Yes, Negotiating Agreement Without Giving In  – transformed the way people thought about negotiation. More than 40 years later, many of the insights from that book have become part of mainstream thinking for negotiators.

And yet, while many family mediators have a copy of Getting to Yes on their shelves, we suspect they are less than confident that they fully understand, much less consciously apply, the book’s contents to their day-to-day work.

This webinar is designed to reconnect the work of Fisher and Ury with our actual practice as family mediators. The aim of the session is to join together theory and practice so that our work is both more grounded and more informed. Reference will not only draw on Getting to Yes, but also some of the later writings of both authors.
