Pensions are not an easy area to understand. As mediators, we do not need to be pension experts but we do need some basic knowledge of pensions and the pitfalls. This course aims to help you be a little more confident dealing with pensions and alert you to things you might need to look out for.
It is not a definitive pension course so please do not expect anything technical or an update on pension law. The objective of this course is to provide you with some basic information regarding pensions and to help you recognise when a pension expert on divorce (PODE) would be useful. This course should also provide you with a basic awareness of pensions and the kind of questions you should routinely be asking your clients to avoid complaints.
