New Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) scheme
The Family Mediation Council has approved a new ‘Assessment of Professional Competence’ scheme. The scheme, like its predecessor, is recognised by the Legal Services Commission (LSC) as qualification for those undertaking publicly funded family mediation.
Submissions under the new scheme may be made from 1 May 2012; the details of the scheme’s requirements can be downloaded below. The scheme is administered on the Council’s behalf by NFM, from whom further enquiry can be made at Family Mediation Council, c/o NFM, PO Box 593, Exeter, EX1 9HG.
No submissions under the previous competence assessment scheme will be accepted after 31 December 2012; details of the previous competence assessment scheme’s requirements can be obtained upon request from NFM at the address above.

Timings and Procedure
