In the latest of her regular 'Mediation Matters' articles for Family Law, National Family Mediation Chief Executive, Jane Robey, explores similarities between the approaches taken by:

  • 'sensible, pragmatic' couples who opt for family mediation when making post-divorce arrangements, putting aside feuds and battles for benefit of the children caught in the middle, and
  • Parliamentarians who are being urged by some to put aside party allegiances for the benefit of the country’s future during Brexit negotiations

She says that, whilst it might seem fanciful, perhaps Parliament needs to call in mediators to help them break the Brexit stalemates and move things forward.
